Since opening Our Place restaurant at the beautiful Anna Beulah Farm in January, Barend (the owner of the RESTAURANT) has been pouring his time, attention and love into all his culinary renditions, including these gorgeous burgers my mom and I enjoyed a few Sundays ago.
Now I say this every time I have a really good burger. It’s THE BEST burger I have had to date. But from now on, I will simply say, it goes into my list of top 5 burgers. The beef patty is prepared MEDIUM and JUST right, the texture is superb and JUST right – not falling apart, the flavour – magnifico and the presentation – see for yourself!
Even the wedges were fried to perfection and were crispy and delicious. LOVED IT!!! I felt like Goldilocks, when she finds her own bowl of porridge and it’s JUST RIGHT. The price was also, just right . R95 for this beautiful plate is an absolute bargain.
My friends enjoyed the Smoked Chicken Salad and the French Toast with Macon (which is served all day).
Tea and coffee is served in vintage porcelain, either inside, at long luxurious table settings, or outside on the patio, overlooking a pretty landscape and a kiddies play area.
Take your own wine, there’s no corkage.
Located on the corner of Vissershok and Contermanskloof Roads, Anna Beulah Farm boasts an organic deli with a vegetable garden, where you can select your own fresh produce. Around the back of the farm, along a different road, you will find Our Place restaurant, which is run separately from the Farm itself.
They close on Saturdays (for religious purposes), unless you’ve booked a private event, but pop in Tuesdays to Fridays and Sundays from 9 to 3, for breakfast or lunch.
